In this context, there is a climate emergency with a number of imperatives: understanding the current dynamic, how it may develop, with all the consequences and risks for humans, societies, and ecosystems; collectively looking for and finding solutions to mitigate this climate change and, in parallel, adapting to it, as the two are inseparable.</p> <p>The goal of this Collection is to give up-to-date scientific knowledge on all these aspects. To do this, we have gathered 26 lecturers and scientists from different disciplines and institutions. Each one will speak about their day-to-day work.
