International Space Summit 2026: bringing together global stakeholders to address major space challenges
On 9 and 10 September 2026, France will host the International Space Summit in Paris. Bringing together stakeholders from around the world, the summit will foster a shared dialogue on shaping a space sector capable of meeting the scientific, technological, economic and environmental challenges of our time.

An international summit dedicated to the future of space
France will host the International Space Summit in Paris on 9 and 10 September 2026. The summit will bring together public and private stakeholders committed to shaping the future of the space sector.
At the invitation of the President of the French Republic and his Special Envoys, astronaut Thomas Pesquet and entrepreneur Hélène Huby, the Summit will welcome delegations and representatives from a wide range of backgrounds, including Heads of State and Government, international and regional organisations, scientists, astronauts, private sector leaders and representatives of civil society.
The aim is to foster international dialogue on building a space sector fit for the challenges of our time, while strengthening cooperation to address the major challenges facing the space sector.
Research and innovation at the heart of French and European space ambitions
In his New Year address to the French higher education and research community, Minister Philippe Baptiste reaffirmed the strategic importance of the space sector for France and Europe.

Earlier this year, Philippe Baptiste also stressed that the International Space Summit would provide a key opportunity to raise these issues on the international stage.
France, a committed partner in building the European space programme
For several decades, France has pursued an ambition for space founded on European and international cooperation, as well as scientific and industrial excellence.
France's national space strategy particularly aims to preserve the ability of both France and Europe to maintain autonomous access to space.
By hosting the International Space Summit, France aims to help foster a collective dialogue on the future of space and the cooperation needed to address the challenges ahead.
