Résumé
Maria Antonia Guillermo-Tuazon (Nutrition and Food Systems Officer, FAO) addressed the issue of data collection for planning, monitoring and evaluating the transformation of food systems.
Access to such data is currently insufficient, yet it is essential for guiding decision-making and monitoring the effects of policies or programmes.
Moreover, the complexity of food systems requires a variety of data and tools for a thorough understanding.
Reliable data are also needed for all relevant sectors, to ensure coherent cross-sectoral actions. This could partly be achieved by taking advantage of digital and technological innovations.
